Portrait Prices and Procedure

Once a client decides to have a portrait painted, the client and artist discuss the details. These specifics, including but not limited to composition, portrait size and price are written into an agreement. After the agreement is signed, an appointment is scheduled to meet and photograph the subject(s). Photograph(s) provided by the client may be used as a basis for the portrait by mutual agreement between the client and artist, but because of copyright considerations, in no case can a portrait duplicate a professional studio photograph other than one produced expressly for the purpose by Ridge Art.

When the portrait is partially completed, the client will be invited to view the work for approval. Any adjustments can be made after this meeting. Works are usually completed within four to twelve weeks. The satisfaction of the client is guaranteed. If for any reason the client is not satisfied with the finished product, the deposit will be returned and the art will become the sole property of the artist.
